I keep trying to make myself finish the blog that’s supposed to post today. I don’t wanna. I don’t wanna think about the content (getting out of my rut), I just want to enjoy the romantic get-away with my husband in Moss Beach. Talk about self-care, right?
So that’s what I’m doing. I’m enjoying! Breaking free of ruts will happen next week.
Here’s a few pics I took. I didn’t know I was going to be blogging about this so all you get is a snippet of dinner at Moss Beach distillery last night.
Here’s the view from our table. We even saw a whale surface a few times. Amazing!
Yes, that’s a lemon ricotta cheesecake that I can’t eat, but the gluten free menu was as long as any normal menu, so I ate beyond satisfaction and had another glass of wine for dessert. Besides look at the way my husband looks at me. I’ll take that any day over cheesecake!
I take horrible selfies, but hey! That’s part of the fun.
Our view from lunch at Breakers in Pacifica.
So here’s the deal. If you need it (you do) get away. Even if it’s a day trip. Go enjoy. Shelve your worries and responsibilities and stress. If you don’t hold them for a day or four, they’ll still be there when you get home. You can pick them back up. Or not!
That’s my sage advice for this week. Now I’m going to go enjoy the hot tub, next to the fire pit, with an ocean view and a glass of red wine.
Now it’s your turn. Take an hour and go do something for you. Something you enjoy. Something that brings you life. And repeat everyday for the rest of your life. Cheers!
